The Breaking Barriers Program is hosted at the L.E.A.D. Center for Youth in the Adair Park neighborhood just south of downtown Atlanta and Atlanta University. Established in 2020, the Center is the home and headquarters of L.E.A.D. and the hub of activities for our L.E.A.D. Ambassadors and other L.E.A.D. initiatives.

I wore Adidas as a child. I remember wearing the newly launched Adidas Forums as an eight-year-old in 1984–the same year my favorite team, the Chicago Cubs, won the National League East Division. I wore those Adidas as I recreated Wrigley Field moments in my grandparents back yard, imitating star players like Gary Mathews. To me, Baseball and Adidas go hand in hand.
L.E.A.D., INC. and Breaking Barriers are powered by strong partnerships built on stronger relationships. None have been more important to our success than the team at Adidas and all of the individuals that helped foster our partnership. Because of their advocacy and support, Kelli and myself have been recognized by Adidas as Honoring Black Excellence honorees and a mural has been installed in Northwest Atlanta, my birth community.
I’m also excited to announce the launch of two signature baseball cleats and one pair of Adidas Forums that were created by L.E.A.D. Ambassadors Elijah Grant, Jahad Johnson, and Amari Jones. Proceeds from sales go to L.E.A.D.
L.E.A.D., INC. and Breaking Barriers are powered by Adidas and that is truly a blessing to me.
